We are excited to present the Second Annual WELD Leadership Conference. This year, there are 13 Program Tracks that contain a total of 34 specific class offerings for you to create a day focused on your specific areas of interest.

We are also excited to announce that this year we have over 35 stellar speakers with diverse backgrounds and a wealth of information to share on tools, tips, thinking differently and becoming a stronger leader in your personal and professional life.

What a great opportunity to get out of the office, network with other female leaders in the community and give yourself a day focused on you! We look forward to your attendance! Breakout Session Sponsors will have the opportunity to purchase or extend a Business Level WELD Membership for one year at only $100 (savings of $49!)

Patrons and General Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase or extend an Individual WELD Membership for one year at only $100 (savings of $25!)

From the C-Suite to the Board

Interested in what it takes to get on a corporate board and key success factors in being hired? The time to investigate board opportunities is not at the end of your career or when you’ve “made it to the top” of your organization. The time to begin this process is as early in your career as possible so that you can plan around this goal. Join Eleanor Bloxham, Founder and CEO of The Value Alliance for WELD’s From the C-Suite to the Board. This series will feature corporate board training geared towards our C-Suite level attendees. Ms. Bloxham will provide information about boards and how they operate and information on steps participants can take to become board ready. The workshop will include:

Outcomes from the questionnaires and resume reviews
Duties and responsibilities of boards, directors, management, and key committees and practices of effective boards
Who should know about you? What should you know about them?
The key success factor in being hired
Mapping a plan: the inside work and the outside work

* *This is a two part series. Please sign up for the 10:30-Noon slot, and the 1:15-2:45 slot for the full three hour course, which has required pre-work and has an additional $200 charge. Registration for this specific event closes early on May 21st. Please be sure to choose a final course option for the 3-4:30 slot so you are enrolled in a third course for the day. Breakout Series requires registration by May 21, 2012 and an additional $200 fee. Following registration, Peggy Potter will follow up with the attendee directly to distribute additional registration materials, including resume requirements and a questionnaire to complete. Attendees must submit these materials directly to Ms. Bloxham by May 24, 2012.

WELD Biannual New Member Breakfast- NEW program for July 11: "Unexpected Career Crisis & How to Reinvent Yourself" with Shawn Ireland.

Interaction with our special guest: Former morning radio DJ Shawn Ireland, current SIS founder, internet radio personality and contributor to FOX's Morning Show in Columbus.

Shawn will discuss how a successful and very public career trajectory for her suddenly came to a crossroads upon facing a career crisis in the public eye. Find out how she has turned enormous challenge into a successful second career. Get ready for an honest, personal discussion, and how you might plan or overcome a career crisis to reinvent yourself and your career.

FREE to new or renewing members who have (re)joined WELD between February-June 2012. You will be sent a special, personal, invitation from WELD's Peggy Potter if you qualify for free admission.
