WELD | WELD Leadership Conference

The 2011 WELD Leadership Conference will be the first of its kind, dedicated to the advancement of women in positions of leadership in Central Ohio.  The wide range of programming will address the diverse ways women can develop and apply leadership skills in both professional and civic service.  Attendees can expect to come away with a strong sense of the urgent need to apply thought and creativity to increasing the number of women in leadership positions, as well as practical skills to help achieve that goal.

 

Keynote Speaker Donna James will be appearing in her role as the Chair of the National Women’s Business Council (NWBC).  Ms. James will be speaking about the objectives of the NWBC in identifying policies via research that will assist in the advancement of women entrepreneurs and women owned businesses. With her expertise in management and leadership experience, she is a trusted resource and advisor for business leaders in the public and private sector, ranging from entrepreneurs to C-suite executives of Fortune 500 companies.

 

Our Lunch Panel Discussion, Defining Leadership, will feature the Central Ohio Leadership Census, Phase Two, and our distinguished speakers:

·      Julie Graber, The Institute on Women

·      Dr. Kerry Strayer, Associate Professor, Otterbein University

·      Eleanor Bloxham, Founder and CEO, The Value Alliance

Attendees will pre-register for three Breakout Session options (one per session) from the list below.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided.  A Networking Happy Hour will follow at 5:30pm (location TBA).  Schedule subject to change.  Further details regarding driving directions, parking, and day of registration instructions will be available on our website and in email communications closer to the date.
